Word of the Day (Happy Columbus Day)
Please enjoy today’s Michel de Montaigne moment for October 12th, 2009. Have a happy Columbus Day. Interesting fact: All of the cobble stones that used to line the streets in New York were originally weighting stones put in the hulls of Belgian ships to keep an even keel. (After the Belgians started making waffles, they found that they had plenty of weight to go around and decided to give the stones to New York.)
“The art of dining well is no slight art, the pleasure not a slight pleasure.” Michel de Montaigne
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s extremely deep Word of the Day.
“My friends and I all eat ham hocks, or pounds of bisquick right out of the box.
Stock in KFC has shot up high, and we just may be the reason why.
Don’t you want to hang out with the Fat Boys, baby, in a land were jello’s sugar free….” Sorry, I was working on putting art into my dining. I guess I got carried away.
